COMPLIANCE
MPI Cooling Standards — What You Need to Know
Raw milk must be cooled to specific temperatures within strict timeframes. Every Ryker unit we install is commissioned and tested to meet these standards.
Milk must be cooled to 10°C or below within 4 hours of the start of milking.
Milk must reach 6°C or below within 6 hours of starting and within 2 hours of finishing.
It must be held at or below 6°C until pickup or the next milking.
It must not exceed 10°C during subsequent milkings.
Continuous milking? Milk must enter the vat at 6°C or below if milking occurs for 6+ hours straight.
